Each year, Virginia Heroes participants are given the opportunity
to visit area college campuses accompanied by their mentors
and staff from their schools.
The visits typically consist of a short presentation by the
college, a guided campus tour, and ample opportunities to ask
questions. The aim is to motivate participants to further their
education by helping them picture themselves as college students.
Schools visited have included Virginia State University and
Virginia Union University.
