One of the
highlights of the year is the Annual Celebration of Heroes. All children participating in the program and their
mentors are brought together for a half-day of fun and interaction
with other outstanding role models.
Radio and
television personalities, sports heroes, authors and local business
people rotate among the students at 20-minute intervals. During
that time, the children have an opportunity to discuss many
topics with the heroes, including career choices, education,
goal-setting and other topics geared toward developing positive
values.
