MENTORS NEEDED FOR 2009-2010

Virginia Heroes' commitment to Richmond Public Schools is growing and we need more mentors now! We need mentors for sixth and seventh graders at Elkhardt Middle School and seventh graders at Henderson Middle School. Special assignments are available for mentors who are bi-lingual in Spanish. Mentoring begins in November, with training in October.

Please sign up now. Mentoring requires a commitment of approximately two hours a month during the school year. Mentors work with small groups of students in their classrooms with the teacher present. Morning and midday sessions are available. Contact Joyce Johnson today at 804-266-5007 or email jajadst@aol.com.

Looking Ahead. We will need mentors to help us start a new program at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School. Mentoring will start in January 2010. Contact Joyce Johnson at 804-266-5007 or email jajadst@aol.com.
